Don't Trash Me Mommy!

A Poem written by

Ken D. Walston, Jr.

Don't trash me Mommy.

This Bud of Life which clings inside of you, a miracle of one’s beginning.

The complete essence of our humanity.

Don't trash me Mommy.

Fight the urge and the pain, you're all I have between Life and Death,

Between existence and never being. Don't pull the Breath of Life from Me.

Don't End Me because I'm yours.

Don't trash me Mommy.

Think for a moment from your heart, instead of your fear and doubt.

Think from your conscience and not the coldhearted intellect.

Think of someone besides yourself, I didn't ask to be conceived

And I surely deserve better than murder.

Don't trash me Mommy.

I have no one to fight for Me. No voice to be heard out loud,

Yet I feel and live just the same.

Don't trash me Mommy.

Give Me the chance to grow-up and make a difference in this life.

I want to be loved and in return give love too.

Don't trash me Mommy!

I bet you're the Best Mommy that could ever be, you'll see, someday I'll make you proud of Me.

So in your hour of desperation

Don't trash me Mommy!
